Common Questions

Q: I don’t live in Victoria, so how can this work?

I see less than five percent of my clients in the flesh. The other 95% work with me by phone. That way, no matter where they are working or living, we can connect monthly for sessions.

Q: How long do I have to commit for?

The number of sessions varies from person to person. For some, one meeting can be clarifying and all that is required, but for others, multiple sessions really make the difference.

Q: What will this cost?

The rates below are for a 45 minute session. To receive the discounted rate, multiple sessions need to be prepaid. Discount rates are available if your situation requires this, and it is something we can discuss. Payment may be made through Paypal, e-transfer or personal check.

If you are engaging in multiple sessions (three or more) I offer a complimentary initial meeting to discuss the process of coaching and to see if we are a good fit.

Prices:

$125.00 /hr minutes for 1-2 sessions
$110.00 /hr minutes-for 3-4 sessions
$100.00/hr minutes– for 5 or more sessions

Q: What happens if I say yes?

Contact me here. I will email you a document with some questions to help us get started. If you are only wanting to talk one or two times we will just get started. If you envision several sessions then we can have a short chat about coaching and my approach. It’s good to see if there is a good fit if there is ongoing work.

Q: Do you only work with singers and creative types?

No. I actually have worked with all sorts of people from many walks of life. With my life experience I can be a good fit for anyone who wants to live from their heart and who wants to stretch out into their life more passionately.

Q: Is this therapy?

No. I believe all my clients are creative and whole. Nothing about them is broken or needs fixing. Coaching is not targeted at psychological illness. Coaching, unlike therapy, is not focused on diagnosing the past. It’s about starting where you are and moving into the future.Having said that, some people are involved with a therapist AND a life coach, as our services can be complimentary, but a life coach can’t replace therapy if that is required.

Q: What is coaching?

I think coaching is about your whole life. It isn’t just about solving problems. Although problems get solved. It isn’t primarily about improving performance, attaining goals, or achieving results, although all of that may certainly happen. I believe coaching is primarily about discovery, awareness, and choice. I believe my clients are strong and capable, naturally creative people. The answers they seek are in themselves. People really do have the power of choice in their lives. And coaching is a conversation that takes place in that world. The goal of coaching is to move you closer to living your life’s purpose.

Q: Is it confidential?

Yes, one hundred percent confidential. Anything that we talk about is confidential. Even the fact you are a client is confidential. I never divulge whom I’m working with.

Q: I’m on a budget, but I need this. What do you suggest?

I keep a few spaces for those in financial need and we can discuss a fee that works for your current situation.

Q: How do I know this is for me?

What I recommend is that you contact me and let’s talk about it. There is no obligation to move forward.
